For the third year in a row, Toeniskoetter Development, Inc., and Toeniskoetter Construction, Inc., have been named as one of the best places to work in the Bay Area, according to the annual ranking by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times.  As was the case last year, Toeniskoetter continued to move up in the rankings, moving from #8 to #4 in the category of firms with 25-49 employees. What makes Toeniskoetter so special?  According to employees, it’s because they are challenged, engaged -- and respected.  “We really operate as a family that cares about one another, and it shows in all that we do,” said one respondent. Another pointed out, “Every single employee at the company genuinely cares about doing a great job and works hard so that we can all be successful.” Ultimately, said another respondent, “Toeniskoetter values quality, integrity, honesty and respect, above all.” Another couldn’t help adding, “I love bragging about who I work for and the quality projects we accomplish.”

The assessment is based on employee responses to a detailed questionnaire, which is then evaluated and scored by a third-party research company. Workers rate their employers on values such as trust in leadership, collaborative culture, personal engagement, and satisfaction of individual needs through benefits and perks.

Results of the Silicon Valley Business Journal/San Francisco Business Times Best Places to Work survey were announced on April 18th.
